EPK

Verity Holloway is a London-based  singer-songwriter whose lyrics are poetic and vulnerable, folky sounds intertwined with darker distorted undertones.

Following on from her debut EP, 'Siren' which was released in 2022,  Verity has been writing and gigging around London.

Known for her haunting vocal melodies and vulnerable songwriting, her new single 'Ruined' coming out 30th January '26 - produced by Peter Miles - explores feelings of regret, acceptance and forgiveness. This track is the first single from her upcoming debut album, due to be released this spring, 2026.

'Ruined' will be accompanied by a stop motion music video upon its release. An entirely self made movie, by Verity Holloway, all the sets created out of cardboard and other miscellaneous materials, the 2 characters made from plaster-scene and the whole thing filmed on a phone. Here are some behind the scenes, and a taster of what's to come.

Debut Album

About the album:

These 11 songs were all written by Verity Holloway, over the span of several years at different stages in her life, and as a result they explore a range of themes and emotions. Verity is someone who writes her songs solo as the process feels very personal to her.

On meeting Peter Miles at the beginning of summer 2025, Verity was offered the opportunity to record her album at Middle Farm Studios, a chance she jumped at. Middle Farm Studio is an amazing studio in a converted barn, with a grand piano, tape machine and a range of instruments to play. To raise money to record here Verity started a 'Crowdfunder' page, which due to the generosity of friends, family and other kind contributors, practically funded the whole recording.

The recording process took 3 days, in the second week of September 2025. All tracks were recorded onto tape, meaning that each song was recorded live with a full band. Obviously a few overdubs of instruments and vocals/backing vocals, but the core instrumentation and lead vocals were live.

This way of recording keeps the music alive and gives a sense that it's being played in the room with you. Verity was lucky enough to a have a band of amazing musicians play on the record, many of whom are artists in their own right; Maya Delilah, Amelia Callard, Rhys Lewis, Emerson Lee-Scott, John Jones, Andy Arthur Ross, Elio Evangelou, Claudia Georgette and Orla Gartland.

The album guides you from stripped back unaffected sounds through to dramatic vocals accompanied by distorted cello. With some songs leaning towards electronic themes, for example track 7 'Unsure' is lead by a crunchy accordion paired with synth, giving an almost solemn dance track.
